A man is facing charges after police say he stole from a church in New Glasgow, N.S., Saturday afternoon.
New Glasgow Regional Police responded to a report of a break, enter and theft at a church on Abercrombie Road around 1:45 p.m.
The alleged theft occurred during a private event.
Police say they were able to identify a suspect and recovered the stolen items, which included three iPads.
Officers then arrested the 38-year-old suspect.
Jonathan David Murphy of Halifax has been charged with:
- break and entering
- theft under $5,000
- possession of stolen property obtained by crime
- trafficking property obtained by crime
- three counts of failure to comply with release order
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Pictou provincial court on Monday.
