3 injured after crash between pickup truck and train in Aulac, N.B.

Three people were injured following a collision involving a pickup truck and a train in Aulac, N.B.

New Brunswick RCMP said the collision was reported around 12:15 p.m. at a level crossing on Brown Road. Rail traffic was temporarily halted while emergency crews responded to the scene.

Three occupants of the pickup truck were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said they are all reported to be in stable condition.

As of Sunday, the RCMP said there is no indication of any significant impact on other rail schedules.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Aulac is located near the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia border, and is about nine kilometres southeast of Sackville.
