Maria Sarrouh is a Multi-Skilled Journalist with CTV National News, based in Charlottetown, P.E.I. She tells a wide range of stories from the East Coast, with a focus on how national issues land locally, and vice versa. Before joining the national team, Maria was a video journalist at CTV News Montreal, where she covered the fallout of the U.S.–Canada tariff war, recovery efforts following Tropical Storm Debby, health-care pressures and provincial politics in Quebec City. She got her on-air start at CHCH in Hamilton, covering stories from communities across the Golden Horseshoe. Prior to that, she spent nearly two years producing current affairs segments for "The Agenda" on TVO. She cut her teeth as an intern on the Toronto Star’s health and education desk. Born in Lebanon and raised in Saudi Arabia, Maria immigrated to Canada in 2018. She speaks English, French and Arabic. For her, doing this work is a dream come true.
